The Guy with the Blue Bow Tie
If the idea of standing through a stiff, awkward ceremony that sounds like it was generated by a template in 1989 makes your soul quietly leave your body… we’ll probably get along very well.
I’m Chris 👋. A Sydney wedding celebrant & MC creating fun, relaxed and genuinely entertaining wedding ceremonies for couples who want something personal, engaging and completely free of copy-and-paste nonsense.
No fake romance voice.
No “love is a journey” TED Talk.
No Uncle Rob checking the cricket scores halfway through your vows.
Just a bloody good ceremony that feels natural, funny, emotional and unmistakably you.
Whether you’re planning a big Sydney wedding, a laid-back farmhouse ceremony, a wedding in the vines in Hunter Valley or something beautifully chaotic in a pub soiree somewhere… I’m here for it.

Sydney Metro
From rooftop cocktails in the heart of the city to elegant harbour venues and chaotic dancefloors hidden inside converted warehouses, Sydney city weddings come in every possible flavour. I love creating ceremonies that feel relaxed, engaging and genuinely personal, whether you’re getting married overlooking the water or tucked into a little inner-city venue. Theres definitely something for everyone here.

Northern Beaches
Northern Beaches weddings have this beautiful balance of laid-back energy and ridiculously good scenery. Whether it’s a barefoot ceremony overlooking the ocean or a more polished coastal venue, I love helping couples create ceremonies that feel fun, natural and never overly formal… even when the wind is trying to eat your vows.

Southern Highlands
There’s something about Southern Highlands weddings that instantly slows everybody down in the best possible way. Between the vineyards, gardens and countryside venues, the whole region feels made for long lunches, emotional speeches and ceremonies that are warm, relaxed and full of personality.

Blue Mountains
Blue Mountains weddings always feel a little cinematic. The scenery does a lot of heavy lifting already, so the best ceremonies here tend to be the ones that feel grounded, intimate and genuinely human rather than overproduced. Also, as a bonus, everyone suddenly becomes very interested in fireplaces and red wine.

Hunter Valley
Hunter Valley weddings are basically the perfect collision of incredible wine, stunning venues and people emotionally unravelling during vows by 4:30pm. I love creating ceremonies here that feel relaxed, funny and deeply personal, whether you’re planning a huge winery wedding or something smaller and intimate among the vines.

Chris was everything we hoped for and so much more.
We always knew we wanted someone fun, energetic and easy-going to marry us. We truly hit the jackpot with The Guy with the Blue Bow Tie 🩵
From our very first meeting right through to the big day, Chris was incredibly professional, accommodating and made the entire process feel effortless and stress free.
Our ceremony was absolutely incredible. I genuinely can’t speak highly enough of Chris and his ability to make people laugh while still creating such a meaningful and heartfelt moment. In every photo, you can see the pure joy on everyone’s faces.
He curated our ceremony so perfectly - it was 100% us. Every word felt intentional, personal and deeply meaningful. Chris truly took the time to get to know us and our story and on the day, it really showed. It was absolute perfection 🩵🩵
